The same base material, AetherCanvas® mineral pigment worked into the imagery of parched, fractured earth, is built here with a more directional logic: the cracking and the metallic passages run in parallel lines across the surface rather than radiating outward from a single point.

The fired foil draws from the same ICH-certified Song and Yuan dynasty tradition, carried across more than eight hundred years. Sixteen stages of high-temperature firing and oxidation; heat as the coloring agent; variation produced through combustion rather than applied pigment. Laid across the mineral ground, the foil follows the surface’s linear striations: metallic luster running in parallel across the cracked terrain, the visual grammar of a vein that moves with purpose through rock rather than accumulating in one place.
